The AXSX Astroguide & Volunteer Program is designed for enthusiasts who want to develop practical knowledge, professional skills and real-world experience in astronomy, space science and event management.
Whether you want to understand the night sky and learn telescope handling, or contribute to events while developing communication and leadership skills, there is a place for you within the AXSX community.
Two different roles. One common goal — learning, contributing and growing with AXSX.

For individuals who want to gain real-world experience through events, teamwork, hospitality, communication and leadership.
Learn through real sessions, activities, events and hands-on experiences rather than theory alone.
Interact with professionals, experts and experienced members working in astronomy and space.
Develop communication, leadership, teamwork, observation and technical skills.
Become part of a growing community of people interested in astronomy, space and meaningful experiences.
Participate in and contribute to AXSX events, workshops and stargazing activities.
Selected members will receive official AXSX program merchandise, including company T-shirts.
Once selected, members will receive two complimentary stargazing event opportunities as part of their initial experience with AXSX. After these two events, applicable remuneration will be provided for subsequent eligible stargazing events based on the respective role and event.
Previous expertise in astronomy is not mandatory for Astroguide applicants. Genuine interest, curiosity and the willingness to learn are essential.
Astroguide members are expected to attend at least one AXSX event every three months, subject to event schedules, seasonal conditions and operational requirements.
Telescope training sessions arranged by AXSX are compulsory for Astroguide members and are expected to be attended as scheduled.
Every member is expected to maintain professional conduct and represent AXSX respectfully during all activities and events.
By submitting an application for the AXSX Astroguide or Volunteer Program, applicants acknowledge that they have read and understood the following terms and agree to follow them if selected.
Submission of an application does not guarantee selection. Final membership will be offered only to candidates selected through the AXSX selection process.
All members are expected to maintain respectful, responsible and professional behaviour while representing AXSX or participating in AXSX activities.
Members must inform the concerned AXSX authorities before working with or joining another organisation, NGO or company operating in a field substantially similar to AXSX.
The AXSX Core Team reserves the right to suspend or cancel the membership of any Astroguide or Volunteer found violating these terms, engaging in misconduct or behaving inappropriately.
Astroguide members are expected to participate in at least one AXSX event every three months, depending on the event calendar, seasons and operational requirements.
Telescope handling and training sessions arranged by AXSX are compulsory for Astroguide members and must be attended as scheduled.
Applicable program, membership and training fees must be paid after final selection. A minimal charge may also apply towards official AXSX T-shirts and merchandise.
Once the applicable fee has been paid, no refund will be initiated if an individual subsequently decides to withdraw, discontinue participation or fails to attend the required activities.
Once selected, members will receive two complimentary stargazing event opportunities as part of their initial experience with AXSX. After completing these two events, applicable remuneration will be provided for subsequent eligible stargazing events, based on the respective role, event requirements and applicable AXSX remuneration structure.
AXSX reserves the right to modify schedules, training sessions, event participation requirements or other operational aspects of the program when required.
Fees are applicable only after the candidate has been selected for the program.
A membership renewal fee 50% of above mentioned charges will be applicable. Renewal forms will be shared separately once prepared.
* T-shirt / merchandise shipping charges, where applicable, may be separate. Training and membership fees will be collected only after final selection.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a one-to-one interview after applications close.
Final members will be selected based on interest, attitude, performance and suitability.
Selected members complete the applicable training and onboarding process.
