Science and astronomy have always been fascinating subjects that spark curiosity and wonder. This National Science Day, AXSX, in collaboration with SkySharing, conducted a series of engaging outreach programs aimed at inspiring students and fostering a love for scientific exploration. From interactive discussions to thrilling competitions, the events left a lasting impact on young minds eager to dive into the wonders of the universe.
Inspiring Young Minds: AXSX and SkySharing Celebrate National Science Day

National Science Day Celebration with School Students
The celebration began with an interactive session with school students, where they explored various scientific concepts through hands-on activities and thought-provoking discussions. The session was designed to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of astronomy and space science. Students had the opportunity to learn about celestial bodies, the history of space exploration, and the importance of scientific advancements in daily life.

Science Quiz Competition
A major highlight of the event was the Science Quiz Competition, where young enthusiasts showcased their knowledge and problem-solving skills. The quiz covered various topics, including physics, astronomy, space technology, and general science. The competition was designed to be both educational and entertaining, keeping students engaged while challenging their understanding of scientific principles. Winners were awarded exciting prizes, further motivating them to continue their journey in science and astronomy.
Discussions on Science and Space
Another key aspect of the outreach program was the open discussion session on science and space. Experts from AXSX and SkySharing engaged with students, answering their inquisitive questions about black holes, exoplanets, space travel, and the future of human exploration beyond Earth. The discussions aimed to bridge the gap between complex scientific theories and practical understanding, making these concepts accessible and enjoyable for all participants.

About Collaboration with SkySharing
Aldric Benalan, a U.S. science award recipient, is leading SkySharing in collaboration with schools across India to organize science and astronomy outreach programs along with competitive events throughout March 2025.

In addition, Aldric has partnered with Aeronautics and Space Exploration (AXSX) to offer students and community members an exciting opportunity to observe celestial wonders, providing telescope access and guided stargazing sessions to deepen their understanding of the universe. The Science competition and stargazing program will take place in Pune rural area of India. The schools participating are ZP School, Bhongvali Village, Bhor.
